Beliefs
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired Word of God and the final authority in faith and conduct.
We believe in one God, the Creator of all things and man, eternally existing in three persons in a three-fold relationship, that of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary.
We believe that all who, by faith, receive the Lord Jesus are born again Christians. They are indwelt with the Spirit, receive a new nature and by the Holy Spirit are baptized into the body of Christ.
Pastor and Family
The Qualkinbush family | Tony Qualkinbush has been the pastor of our fellowship since February, 2000. After four years as the Associate Pastor for Youth Ministries and two more years as the Associate Pastor for Family Ministry Development at Washington Baptist Church in Ware Place, SC, Tony felt led by God's clear guidance to become the Pastor of Central First Baptist. Tony and Lee Ann have four children who are a part of community and school activities. This allows for Tony and his family to impact not only the congregation, but the town of Central, as well. Pastor Tony feels that the Church does not belong inside four walls, but that it should be actively reaching out to people in the community. This is portrayed throughout many of the ministry opportunities of Central First Baptist. |
